Dermis

The dermis is a connective tissue forming the skin with the epidermis and hypodermis. Its thickness varies from body regions but it can reach a millimeter. One usually distinguishes papillary dermis adjoined to the dermo-epidermal junction, the reticular dermis and the deep dermis.
